Montclair Doula has been nurturing & supporting new mothers & families in Northern NJ since 1995.
Montclair Doula provides compassionate support, evidence-based education, and guidance in newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery in your home after baby arrives. Montclair Doula will also provide prenatal support for pregnant moms on bedrest or who those simply need an extra set of hands. Services now also include labor support, lactation counseling, breastfeeding support groups, Sacred Pregnancy classes, Beyond Birth Planning and Newborn Parenting classes.
Montclair Doula's mission is to increase awarness of normal infant feeding by supporting women as they breastfeed, normalize the entire spectrum of emotional experiences after birth(including depression and anxiety as well as the joy and bliss), to promote parent/infant bonding, and to focus on strategies for self care. I strive to create an atmosphere of calm support within the home which offers parents the necessary time to heal, bond, and rest with each other and with their baby. The postpartum time is a profound time of opening and transformation for the entire family and I am honored to be a part of it.
